Christian Outrage

There's way too much of it. That's Russ Moore's point in this article, and I for one think he is dead on. I'm not sure why Christians are so surprised and outraged that the culture around them doesn't care about God, but instead of yelling at them, or sending 5 forwards a day griping about how secular America is, it seems like a good idea to tell people about Jesus. Should Christians ever be offended?

It's our job to lead unbeliever's to Christ--it's actually His job to transform them. We have to understand that "bullying" unbelievers to become believers will never work. I honestly don't have much of a problem with "the new generation's" secular movement (though I admit sometimes it is taken too far) What most Christan's fail to realize is that even if something isn't "Christan" and is secular more-or-less it can still be used through Christ. Example--young people are REALLY influenced by music--I see it all the time, kids walking into stores with headphones in and the music so loud all the people around them can here it as well. An "Outraged Christan" might think--That music kids are listening to these days, its satanic, horrible, ungodly, etc.
--"Its times like these you learn to live again
Its times like these you give and give again
Its times like these you learn to love again
Its times like these time and time again ---

That's not a Christan song--but is easily applicable to the Christan beliefs & lifestyle

Trials/Suffering = Joy/Love

Instead of being an Outraged Christan, why not listen to them & transform the secular stuff such as music (in my example) to show the Christ's love for us. I understand that in today's culture God is a high priority, but we can use the "secular" things of society to further His Kingdom

oops! that "is" at the end is suppose to be "isn't" (makes more sense after correcting it)
& I'm glad you've picked blogging back up again, I've been wondering where you've been.
